I understand. Currently we still have two clustered postfix (as relays) in
front of the final destination. All postfix. Currently I'm still working on
the new relay, so I believe when the new final postfix will be up, I will see
fully qualified X-Original-To again.

I know. But for me, Postfix and Dovecot are like brother and sister ;-)

We will have a relay again. It filters all recipients that are not allowed
to get mail. Nobody should have a reason to send mail to root or other internal
mail addresses from outside. But this machine itself should be able to overcome
this and be allowed to send mail to internal accounts on the final destination.
When this mail on and from the relay comes in on 127.0.0.1:25, no problem, I
will set up an smtpd on localhost that always uses submission. But most of
the mails will come in via mail/mailx/etc. And they will travel the normal
way and will thus never get through to the final postfix, they are thrown away.
sender_dependent_... - ouch - feels like we start with an exception when our
goal was to make things easier and much more clearer ;-) But, maybe, this is
the only way to go. Maybe I will do an exception for this IP to by able to
send to the internal addresses. We'll see...

Thanks!

And I wanted to say that in South Africa there is a red wine called
"Porcupine Ridge" - very tasty. If you come to SA...
