Just my 2 cents;

If you have a large enough amount of emails in a flat file that you need 
formatting to visually manage, maybe consider switching from flat file 
to a database map. You can view them in your database formatted any way 
you like or even make a pretty CSS HTML control panel to more easily 
view and manage your large list of emails.
