One would think so, that was one of my first thoughts.  Seems there could
be such an option, but I've not found it.  

Thought also occurred that postfix might have a "queue alert" notice option
which I did not notice.  Tend to think there must be some means but often the
obvious is not.  

It's easy enough to make a have cron run a simple script that checks the queue
and alert someone for disposition.
