Hello Max-Julian,

Yes, main.cf features this line:
   mailbox_command = /usr/bin/maildrop

However, it makes no difference if I leave out the executable (in effect 
specifying no mailbox command), as follows:

   mailbox_command =

I also tried this command:

   postconf -e "home_mailbox = Maildir/"

But that doesn't work either.

But thank you for your input, I shall take another good look at the 
documentation.
