I see a couple of lines of config, not postconf -n output. Relevant map
files would also help.
I suspect the problem is simply that your working cases are in virtual
alias domains, while the non-working case is in a local or possibly a
virtual mailbox domain domain, which never gets mapped by your virtual
alias map.
