Hi,

after upgrading my system, sending mails with postfix to a relayhost using
dovecot for STARTTLS fails (it used to be working for years without problems
before).

The logs of the relayhost show that a TLS connection gets established and the
(debian postfix) relay server then offers "250-AUTH PLAIN CRAM-MD5 NTLM" and
"250-AUTH=PLAIN CRAM-MD5 NTLM". My client then issues "AUTH NTLM..." rather
than using PLAIN which ultimately fails on the server.

Is there any way to force using the AUTH PLAIN method from the client's side?

I'm using postfix 3.3.3, authentification uses dovecot v2.3.4.1

Best,
Orm
