Finally the solution was so simple:

- create user jdoe (main domain)
- add entry to /etc/aliases:

jdoe:      <any existing username>

- update /postfix/tables
- restart postfix

When I now send a domain user an email, instead of arriving in 
/var/mail/jdoe it is piped to <any existing username>
Solved!
