This box will simply be an outbound SMTP service for notification with a building maintenance application. It will be able to receive NDR and such. I'm normally a Gentoo guy but I wanted centos because it's easier to keep updated. I've used 3.0 since it was release but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth the effort to use 3.* verses 2.* when it will only deliver outbound email. I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible.
