Hello all,

I'm currently trying to do some address rewriting on my Postfix 2.11.3 (precisely, to use the SRS protocol). The thing is, in order to use postSRSd for mail forwarding, I have to apply these parameters :

$sender_canonical_maps
$sender_canonical_classes
$recipient_canonical_maps
$recipient_canonical_classes

only to mails that come from a short list of IP addresses.

I was thinking that the best way to do that would be to put these IPs as parameter for $local_header_rewrite_clients. But as I understand it, the scope for $local_header_rewrite_clients is larger than just the canonical_maps/classes, so isn't that going to be an issue ?

To be precise, my plan is to put the necessary parameters for SRS in my main.cf, so that SRS is applied to all mail coming from said IPs, then to overwrite these parameters in a second smtpd daemon where mail is reinjected, to apply other types of address rewriting after SRS.

What do you think about that ?
