Anyone who knows Theresa May, former UK Home Secretary, just selected as the new head of the Conservative party, will be unsurprised to know that almost her first public position pronunciation was that she sees no problem with passing laws in the UK to prohibit end-to-end encryption and require ISPs et al to provide backdoors into all encrypted traffic.
