As structured, the man page is saying that it *IS* an after-220 test. It can be set to "yes" or "no" independently. Unlike the others, it requires a client to perform a specific formally correct action, rather than avoid a particular bad behaviors.
Only the various enable switches do that.
I understand that this is the actual behavior, but I can't see anywhere that the documentation makes that clear. This is not for lack of looking, so it would be actually helpful if you pointed me to it specifically to how that behavior is documented instead of merely stating the fact of the behavior.
