Louis, it all make perfect sens to me. Disregard my last repons--I am going with your suggestion all the way. So, does this look correct: # For each domain X.TLD (using selected mail server 'mail.B.TLD'): # For the Apache web server all domains are "virtual." X.TLD. IN A 142.54.186.2 www.X.TLD. IN CNAME X.TLD. X.TLD. IN MX 10 mail.B.TLD. # only for B.TLD (having the mail server in the "real" domain): core.B.TLD. IN A 142.54.186.2 mail.B.TLD. IN A 142.54.186.2 2.186.54.142.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR B.TLD. Now I'm pretty sure I can do all that with my domain ISP (GoDaddy), but do you (or anyone else) recommend jumping into running your own DNS server (in my case that would also be on host core.B.TLD)? Thanks very much. Best regards, -Tom
