For some time now, on and off, I see this problem.

Users sending or replying to yahoo.com users receive the error: "This user
doesn't have a yahoo.com account"

Of course, my first reaction was to blame the user not writing the email
address correctly.

But checking the logs I see, many times, the user received email from the
same address that now reports "This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account"

 

Just to test, I created two @yahoo.com accounts and send an email from both
accounts to my email server.

Both messages were received just fine. Replied to both messages and both
replies arrived at yahoo.

The next day, I replied to the same two messages and surprise: "This user
doesn't have a yahoo.com account"

Logged in to yahoo.com Webmail on both test accounts and both were active
and working.

Send an email again to the same addresses and they were received.

 

So there is something fishy going on at yahoo, imho.

 

Anyone else observed this weird behaviour with yahoo accounts?
