Older versions of postfix could do a gross hack where a wildcard
regexp would lowercase the input. This is probably what you've
found on the web. This behavior was considered a bug and was fixed
years ago. The wildcard rewrite also had the unfortunate side
effect of making all recipients valid, turning you into a
backscatter source.
heh! not good .. backscatter is the whole reason I'm moving this setup
over to postfix in the first place.
