Thanks for everyone's help on this.

I have stunnel working now and I look forward to getting the official Postfix from RHEL (or perhaps CentOS - whatever ClearOS decides to use as a base distro) some time in the future.

In the meanwhile as it will probably take ages for RHEL to incorporate your patches and upgrade to the latest version (I think I'm on 2.6.6-6 but I'd need to check at home) I'll follow your suggestion and look at stunnel.

The new code is in Postfix 2.12-20150118. This, plus any final
bits of polish, will become an official release in a couple of
weeks or so.

It might be 2.12, or it be 3.0. As for when RedHat might ship it,
no idea. For what it is worth, I believe Debian "jessie" will ship
2.11, so a stable Debian release with Postfix 2.12 is a couple of
years away.

A RedHat release with 2.12 (or 3.0) will indeed likely keep you
waiting for some time.
