Assuming from your postfix version that you're running EL6 (RHEL6, or CentOS 6 or SL6 or puias 6, etc), you can get a current postfix 2.11.3 release from the ghettforge plus repo (www.ghettoforge.org). It's a good idea because there are many many features in 2.11 that are simply lacking in 2.6 not the least of which is postscreen which you will likely want if you're receiving mail off the internet.
