After testing few rules, I have settled with the following, which works nicely (and instead of removing the whole line, just replaces the hostname/IP adress with localhost/127.0.0.1: # cat /etc/postfix/maps/header_checks /^Received: from \[[0-9\.]+\] \([a-zA-Z0-9\.-]+ \[[0-9\.]+\]\) by mail.origin.com \(Postfix\) (.*)/ REPLACE Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.origin.com (Postfix) $1 thanks, Martin
