Hi there, I hope that will explain my problem clearly...
I have opensuse 12.1 (yes, old one but do not comment please). There was installed Postfix what was a part of distro (version 2.8.x) and in /var/log/mail there was information why remote client has been rejected (because RBL and name of the RBL). I upgraded the Postfix to newer version 2.9.6 and after this upgrade the reject messages are gone - so in case that client is present on RBL there is only message Service unavailable. Here is example: Before upgrade: Sep 17 15:16:52 mail postfix/smtpd[11757]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from smtp4.ymlpsrv.net[62.213.196.184]: 554 5.7.1 Service unavailable; Client host [62.213.196.184] blocked using spamsources.fabel.dk; Blocked http://www.spamsources.fabel.dk/ip/62.213.196.184; from=<mailret...@smtp4.ymlpsrv.net> to=<me...@mecca.cz> proto=SMTP helo=<smtp4.ymlpsrv.net> After upgrade reporting of RBL within main mail file is Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd[5960]: dns_query: 42.65.186.118.all.s5h.net (A): OK Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd[5960]: dns_get_answer: type A for 42.65.186.118.all.s5h.net Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd: Last message 'dns_get_answer: type' repeated 1 times, suppressed by syslog-ng on mail.blueconsulting.cz Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd[5960]: dns_query: 42.65.186.118.all.s5h.net (TXT): OK Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd[5960]: dns_get_answer: type TXT for 42.65.186.118.all.s5h.net Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd: Last message 'dns_get_answer: type' repeated 1 times, suppressed by syslog-ng on mail.blueconsulting.cz Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd[5960]: ctable_locate: install entry key 42.65.186.118.all.s5h.net Nov 20 04:45:16 mail postfix/smtpd[5960]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[118.186.65.42]: 450 4.7.1 <118.186.65.42>: Client host rejected: Service unavailable; from=<i...@tanghuantech.com> to=<reservat...@mecca.cz> proto=ESMTP helo=<tmserver.tanghuantech.com> Can you help me please?
