If have this in rsyslog.conf already:

mail.*                          -/var/log/mail.log

So I already disabled synchronous. Will try a reboot, thanks!

Restarting Postfix or rebooting the machine may sweep the problem under the
rug.  Perhaps your syslog service is congested, if so, make sure you're not
doing synchronous logging.
