How do you know that the client connects to port 465? Postfix should log postfix/smtps/smtpd if it connects to port 465. Current Postfix master.cf files have: smtp inet n - n - - smtpd ... submission inet n - n - - smtpd -o syslog_name=postfix/submission ... smtps inet n - n - - smtpd -o syslog_name=postfix/smtps -o smtpd_tls_wrappermode=yes ...
