That way, Comcast won't notice you sending to a non-Comcast destination and you won't get busted for running an illegal MTA. Adding to what Wietsie says about the Primary MX having to do all of the checks, I use Dyn's email gateway for home. They hold the MX, they do the spam filtering/white or blacklisting, and since they use Postfix, the address verification works just fine so I don't backscatter at all. Fly under the radar, dude. That's the best advice for home. If you want a lab, rent some cloud space.
