that is pretty clear a DNS issue most likely you have your smtpd chrooted yes i understand you want to know why the message did not get filtered out but if basics like name resolving are not working for incoming connections you should fix that issue first because it's important for mail 144.218.51.67.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer irc.madboxes.cc.
