As documented /etc/aliases is used by the local(8) delivery agent, which
normally handles mail for domains in mydestination.
> # /etc/postfix/main.cf
> ...
> mydestination =
No mydestination, no /etc/aliases processing.
Use virtual_alias_maps instead.
