Important:

1) postscreen decides if the SMTP client is a spammer.
   It makes these decisions without receiving mail.

2) postscreen does NOT decide if the SMTP client sends spam.
   These decisions can be made only after receiving mail.

Consider postscreen the first line in a multi-layer defense.  With
very few CPU cycles it reduces the workload for the other defenses.
