I agree Stan. I think the lack of inheritance between relay_restrictions and recipient_restrictions is what b0rk3d my earlier attempts. But I'm going to publish my latest working file, with your sweet fqrdns.pcre mentioned therein, into a Github Gist for posterity after it's baked for a couple of weeks on my medium-busy server. Hopefully that way I can prevent others from repeating my own errors. :) Matthew.
