Your memory might be incorrect. Per-addresss transport_maps have
existed for a very long time. Compare your old transport(5) manual
with the link Jeroen gave you below.

I realized that i was a bit fuzzy about what type of transport maps my
question was about. But I will certainly take a second look and re-read it.
