But to confuse the issue with a different opinion...

We have found greylisting to be very useful. The downside is that a very small number of messages are briefly delayed but it has required near-zero maintenance and blocks a substantial portion of spam. When we originally installed it our spam dropped by 98-99% Some spammers adapted so it isn't that high, now, but still high enough to warrant use.
