If you are speaking of the Sendmail MTA, you're asking on the wrong list. But I can save you a bit of time by advising you to look at setting the "smarthost" option. If you are speaking of sendmail(1) submission in a Postfix MTA, there's no trivial way to distinguish how such mail is routed vs. other forms of submission.
