i do not know in detail because we are using the dedicated port on our own servers for submit messages from our barracuda-spamfirewall and since all MX records are pointing only to the spamfirewall the is no need to restrict port 25 with more as greylisting/RBL the easiest way if you need to close unauthenticated mails completly is the dedicated port for the spamfilter, force users to the submission-port (587) and close port 25 completly
