The postfix feature of header/body checks is still very useful.
Write your own rules to block stuff that might not be blocked
otherwise.

For example, I've noticed frequent spam here with names in the To:
header (not in the envelope) that don't show up in legit mail, like
njon{and some numbers}@comcast.net.  Spamassassin marks most of
these as spam, but header_checks can REJECT them.

Old header/body anti-spam rules found lying about the internet are
probably not useful.  Other rules, such as attachment blocking by
extension, still work just fine.

Since you're asking, I'm guessing the rules you're using don't do
much good.

As a general guideline, if a header/body check rule rarely blocks
anything, you might as well remove it.

I don't know of any up-to-date header/body checks repository.  AFIK
the ones found on the internet are outdated enough to be ineffective
and just waste time.
