Yes, I realize that many on this list are not CentOS fans, but the
RHEL distro it's based on is the only one officially supported on a
big chunk of our hardware (some older Dell boxes) so it's what we use.
And because it's free, it's also used by a good number of sysadmins.

So the GOOD news is that after installing the recently released CentOS
6, I discovered that Sendmail is no longer the default MTA. The
default is Postfix. Yay! Of course, that's old news to anyone running
the full blown RHEL6, but I thought it was cool anyway. Congrats,
Wietse. :)

The BAD news is that while the installed version is newer than 2.3.3
(which was in CentOS 5), it's only 2.6.6. I suppose that's still
progress, but I'm working on an updated version of my "Installing the
latest Postfix on CentOS" blog article to walk people through using a
spec file to build their own 2.8.4 RPM and upgrade with it.
