My troubleshooting mistake was skimming the article, thinking it was relevant to the problem. Seeing that the OP upgraded from 2.3.3 to 2.8.4, my skimming of said article led me to believe it might be an upgrade issue. Note that I did say to upgrade only if mail_version=2.3.3, which it did not. Apologies for the noise as the problem lie elsewhere. -- Stan
