Franck is apparently mixing things: what is needed is to guarantee the integrity of the mailbox at a given time. but this isn't the job of the mail admin. the mail admin job is to hand a copy of the mailbox to the police when the police asks for it. data integrity isn't a simple thing, and if you add law to the subject, then it's a lot harder. Franck: Viktor recommendation is the way to go.
