I read that but didn't see anything about filtering spam or viruses.

I still don't know for sure. I'm hoping that book's gonna be a help for
the likes of me.
I would say now that more has been revealed (why are people coy? ;-) ),
the SOHO README, while pointing out various true things about Postfix,
is not useful or applicable to you.
