yes, saslauthd wasn't running, but seems to die after I restarted it:


# service saslauthd status
saslauthd dead but subsys locked

# service saslauthd restart
Stopping saslauthd:                                        [FAILED]
Starting saslauthd:                                        [  OK  ]

# service saslauthd status
saslauthd (pid 25129 25128 25127 25126 25125) is running...

# service saslauthd status
saslauthd (pid 25129 25128 25125) is running...


# postfix reload
postfix/postfix-script: refreshing the Postfix mail system

# service saslauthd status
saslauthd (pid 25129 25125) is running...

# service saslauthd status
saslauthd dead but subsys locked
