Postfix properly configured does not need any appliance in front. In fact many mail appliances uses Postfix as MTA. If you like the easy configuration of the appliance use the one you like best, Postfix can operate behind any of them as long as they are RFC compliant.
So your question is not really about Postfix but about experience with mail appliances?
