Using Postfix (2.8-20101108) from the FreeBSD ports system, I still
receive this warning:

Jan 25 11:37:36 scorpio postfix/smtp[20514]: warning: network_biopair_interop:
error reading 5 bytes from the network: Connection reset by peer

Is this because I am not running the final release version of Postfix
2.8?
