Pedantically correct, but useless. Mark is well aware of all this. The RFC leaves a large part of the OCTET space that a sender may transmit as undefined, Postfix is somewhat permissive with illegal non-ASCII data, but the various databases sometimes create an impedance mismatch. -- Viktor.
