If this is a gateway that forwards to a separate mail store: - 60 MHz Pentium or better - 128 MB RAM or better - 256 MB disk space for the Postfix queue or better If it is a mailstore running IMAP, then size for that. If you can't find 10 year old hardware, modern hardware will handle approximately 100 times the volume you need, though it is possible to put the idle cycles to use processing large header/body checks tables, huge CIDR maps or running very inefficient content filters. -- Viktor.
