Thanks Viktor.  I commented the following in master.cf:

smtp      inet  n       -       n       -       -       smtpd

and restarted postfix and port 25 is closed.



This is ok for an "outbound" only server (only your users can use it 
send mail).

if you also need "inbound" mail (external users to send to your server), 
then you must keep port 25 open.
