To a point I would agree with you. I have often wondered what moron
came up with certain "standards" that are now in effect. The problem is
that these "standards" do exist. As soon as you start to selectively
ignore one, you start down a very slippery slope. Either laws or
standards in this case are obeyed, or the onslaught of anarchy ensues.
If the standard is not appropriate then an effort should be taken to
correct it. Ignoring its existence, at least in my opinion, is not a
viable option.
