Hi John,

What do you mean by "controlled"? There may be a chance that one of the client machines may get infected and start sending out spam. It would be recommended to do some sort of content checking on your outbound messages to protect your IP reputation and deliverability.

I use the word 'controlled' because we actually 'know' all of our hosting clients. So far, in 15 years of doing this, any compromised client computer has spewed the spam through their internet connection (local ISP) and not through their email login to our system. I keep watching and waiting for this to happen... knock on wood.
