You were scared to do it using the supported tooling so you decided to
wing-it by hand. Makes sense, ... :-)
The commands:
postmulti -e init
postmulti -e import
postmulti -e create
are very safe and are non-destructive. They just populate
the new "multi_instance_mumble" parameters.
