I was asked 'how to setup iphone with our postix smtp-auth self-issued certificate server'
does anyone have any instructions for iphone that they would share ? I don't have an iphone to explore, I borrowed an iphone, tried it myself, it appears to be self-configuring, as after 2 or three tries, I was able to send emails, so, for most part, it seems all one needs is hostname/usernam/password, ? but, what does one need to make iphone accept self-issued certificate ? in my attempt it seems that after a second or third try it took the certificate as 'use this certificate' but if anyone has proper instructions rather than 'keep trying to send, it should work after 2 or 3 goes', I'd appreciate from received message header: --------------------------------- Received: from [10.123.xx.yy] (unknown [202.81.ww.zz]) (using TLSv1 with cipher AES128-SHA (128/128 bits)) (No client certificate requested) (Authenticated sender: a...@xxxxx) by doamin.tld (Postfix) with ESMTP id 87E1DB44928 for <xxxxxx>; Fri, 5 Nov 2010 15:56:34 +1100 (EST) Subject: Re: Welcome References: <20101105044413.8247cb44...@xxxxx> From: Work <xxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii In-Reply-To: <20101105044413.8247cb44...@xxxxx> Message-Id: <5cd340ad-c8ca-4cfb-8bcc-b170eb983...@xxxxx> Date: Fri, 5 Nov 2010 15:49:41 +1100 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Mime-Version: 1.0 (iPhone Mail 8B117) X-Mailer: iPhone Mail (8B117) -- Voytek
