Hi,

I need to forward a single user to another smtp-relay. The rest of the
users of this domain is delivered local. So I put her into
/etc/postfix/transport:

u...@testdomain.de smtp:[212.6.xxx.xxx]

Where are the logs of attempting this after making the change ?
Did you look at them ?

yes. It shows the local delivery. No error or warning:

Jun 10 13:00:13 mail2 postfix/lmtp[23875]: F04348004F72: to=<user_mail...@mymailserver.de>, orig_to=<u...@testdomain.de>, relay=/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp[/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp], delay=0, status=sent (250 2.1.5 Ok)

If I delete cyrus-mailbox and ldap-entry, then User is unknown:

Jun 10 13:00:54 mail2 postfix/error[24546]: 6131C8002F27: to=<u...@testdomain.de>, relay=none, delay=0, status=bounced (User unknown in virtual alias table)

did a "postmap transport", reloaded postfix. But nothing happens.
I thought, maybe there' a problem with the transport file. So I
changed other transports there, and the changes where effective.
Then I thought, maybe a special character there, and retyped the entry.
Still no effect, E-Mails to u...@testdomain.de are still delivered local.

I'm sure that the solution to this problem is pretty obvious, but
right now I just don't see it. So help is very much appreciated.

what I found out so far is, that if testdomain.de ist not in relay_domains, then entries for transport_maps are ignored. Putting testdomain.de in relay_domains is not what I want (I guess), because it is locally delivered (except that one u...@testdomain.de)

I'm running postfix 2.1.5 on a old debian 3.1.

That is VERY old...

yeah, I know. New Server Installation is in progress, but this will take me a few days. Customer wants it *now* :-)
