Folks, We are using the goldfish autoresponder within our PostFix install. It sends out an autoresponse when e-mailing the person directly as expected but also sends the response when e-mailing a distribution list the person is a member of. So if someone e-mails a distribution list and one of the members has an autoresponder set-up every on that list gets an autoreponse including the person who sent the mail.
This seems to be a configuration issue though as there is no reason it should send out an autoresponse for one of the members of the distribution list if the mail wasn't sent to them directly. However, as autoresponse doesn't seem to be a native feature of PostFix perhaps this is a limitation of the solution? William Jordan IT Manager
