It seems that No matter what I do, when trying to load an alternate
service, it dies with same exact error. That's the thing?
Is there some other option I have to turn on or off to enable using
other services perhaps?
You are trying to add something in main.cf that is suppose to be added
into master.cf. You should remove what you added and put it in
master.cf instead. I believe the amavis instructions show this.
