It could be a solid-state disk, but even 16gb models of those are
getting "small" now. That would moot the arguments about seek times
and whatnot, but that's not really the point here...

I don't know if I'd bother with more partitions. It's good to make
sure an overgrowth of logs don't break something else on the system,
but when it's *just* a mail system, there's not a lot else to break.
At the very least I'd be more worried about having redundant disks, so
you don't get knocked out due to an inevitable disk failure. (I assume
this system is considered to be somewhat "important" to keep up and
running).
