Noone here's going to accuse you of sending spam; we might be brusque, but we'll listen first before judging. :D Default settings will usually serve you well, it'd be stupid to have to tweak things by default from an "out of the box" installation. It's just an inconvenient fact that an efficient mail system is similar to a spammy mail system. If there's mail to deliver, Postfix will try to deliver it. If there's a lot of mail to deliver, well... it'll try to deliver a lot of mail.
