You can never know this for sure. Some time ago I was, just out of curiosity, checking the logs of my email server exactly to see if there are any servers that send unencrypted email to me (without intention to change any settings, just to know). I have found exactly ONE such server, but the messages it was sending were quite important and I would certainly regret if I didn't receive them.
